Beschreibung
Die persische Kultur hat viele Lieder, besonders auch für Frauen. Nur mit Hilfe der Lautmalerei vermittelt die Dozentin einprägsame Songs – mal einfach und gradlinig, mal raffiniert mit sich ergänzenden Stimmfarben und Tonlagen strukturiert. Über die fremde Sprache hinweg ist allen Liedern gemeinsam, dass ihre Gefühle und Botschaften auch die Singenden und Hörenden anderer Kulturen berühren und begeistern.

Notenkenntnisse nicht erforderlich, da nur über Vor- und Nachsingen gearbeitet wird. Aufnahmegeräte können mitgebracht werden. Einsatz aber nur nach Rücksprache mit Kursleiterin und Teilnehmerinnen!

MARYAM AKHONDY Die "wunderbare Stimme Persiens"

Maryam Akhondy, die Gründerin und Leiterin des weltweit einzigen iranischen Frauenchores, gehört zur jüngeren Generation der Virtuosinnen des klassischen persischen Gesangs.
Maryam Akhondy wurde 1957 in Teheran geboren; Anfang der siebziger Jahre wurde sie von dem berühmten Schauspieler Ostad E. Mehrtasch entdeckt und studierte Schauspiel an der Akademie der schönen Künste in Teheran und erhielt Gesangsunterricht bei den anerkannten Persönlichkeiten des Irans.
1986 kam sie nach Deutschland und arbeitete mit verschiedenen iranischen Musikgruppen. Bekannt wurde sie hier als herausragende Sängerin der "Schäl Sick Brass Band", mit der sie zwei CD's eingespielt hat, die sich auf den vorderen Plätzen der europäischen World-Music-Charts plazieren konnten.
Mittlerweile hat sie ihre eigene Projekte, das Ensemble "Barbad" und den Frauenchor "Banu", gegründet, mit denen sie europaweit auftritt.

The "marvelous voice of Persia" Maryam Akhondy, the foundress and chief of the world-wide unic Iranian woman choir, belongs to the recent generation of the virtuoses of the classical Persian singing. Maryam Akhondy was born 1957 in Teheran; Beginning of the seventies was discovered it by the famous actor Ostad E. Mehrtasch and studied at the academy of the Fine Arts in Teheran. 1986 came she to Germany and worked with different Iranian groups of music. Admits became she here as an outstanding singer from the worldwide knowm German "Schäl Sick Brass Band", with which she could place herselves at the front places of the European World Music Charts. Meanwhile she has her own projects: The ensemble "Barband" and the woman choir "Banu" and tours European-wide.

DISCOGRAPHIE

Sarmast is the Persian word for "intoxicated". Intoxicated is how Maryam Akhondy felt whenever she became engrossed in the poems of the great Persian poets. Thus inspired, Maryam Akhondy set some of these texts to music to, as she says, "express in my own way the feelings of joy when reading." The simple melodies that are derived from the radif (the order and systematics of Persian music) have also helped her to find out more about herself and her spiritual roots: "It was like the entry into a world not really known to me yet." At first glance, many of the songs only seem to describe rather profane things like wine and the accompanying states of intoxication, but in reality, the texts contain hidden meanings and the words and terms used can only be understood in a figurative sense. In Iran the public appearance is connected by singers with largest difficulties. The religious repression forbade public making music. The women sang therefore only in private sphere, however or under itself. Maryam Akhondy made it it's duty to arouse these traditional woman songs again the life. With its over years gathered collection it would like to give a voice to the Persian women, who were so far not present with their songs on the stages of the concert halls and music festival. With melodies and texts, in which the women again tell of the life: of hard work and merry celebrations, of deep mourning and unfulfilled love.
